wow, brian, those are beautiful. do you get to do any outdoorsy things? like camping, hiking, climbing, etc.?

i think i would like to come visit. Alaska's the one state i've never been to, oh and hawaii, and maine...and oregon and washington. ok, but i wanna come visit anyway!

send more pics!
love, maya

Nice pix! Do you have really really long twilights? Did you get to see the comet? I'd be willing to bet
Chicago is colder, though. I read somewhere that you can grow celery in your garden at Ketchikan. Something about a warm Japanese current sweeping down the Pacific coast past Alaska. Love from G'ma

'twas my lovely wife that took the pictures, and you actually get used to the weather pretty quickly. right now 20 degrees feels pretty darn toasty... don't know what i'm gonna do once we get to california. and to answer your questions, twilight generally lasts an hour and a half to two hours, and negatory on the comet. it's overcast quite a bit.
