sorry i've been absent. i've had a spell of bad luck lately and don't have a lot of motivation for anything. hope all is well. i'll be in florida for the week after thanksgiving. for thanksgiving, i will be spending it in chicago as it seems that i will be working at my new job on wednesday. we dont have any plans or money so it looks like it will be just another day. i thought about buying a train ticket to southern but i kinda bet they are sold out or pretty expensive at this point. sorry, i'll miss you all (and the food). ok love, maya

Oh honey, I am so sorry! What job are you working at on Wednesday? I can look at amtrak. they just put in a new route, so... Maybe we could get both of you down here?

Maya Darlin' The new Saluki (train) has some really special rates Chicago to Carbondale. Look at Amtrak.com and click on their discount specials or some such site. These were really cheap when I looked last week. Love you.
Comment #2 from V. I spoke too quickly. The weekly specials are for a week from a week from now. The regular fare is in place for Thanksgiving week. Next week (28th) it is only $23.70. Next time I'll look it up before I broadcast ...... Just remember, tofurkey is not all that great. And pumpkin pie made with tofu is way overrated (Amanda said so). Love from me and vern.
